Lets for a minute pretend this is in Somalia years ahead in the future when we find peace. Imagine its a beautiful evening night at one of the new art galaries sprouting up all across cosmopolitan and peaceful and prosperous Mogadishu. A chic lady in orange pictured above is caught by one of the photographers of Mogadishu Hour. Everyone who is important is in attendance at this event featuring the work of an upcoming photographer. Its all very glamourous. On the left side is another Somali lady clad in western attire chatting with a fellow art lover. Her attire alone heralds a new understanding Somalia that has achieved a balance between modernity and Islam. Women have freedoms just like they did before the war. They work, play and live happy lives. Everyone lives in peace and it is reflected in the work being presented. Its a wonderful time. If only this wasn’t in America. How beautiful would it be.
Maansha Allah! How beautiful is this
